IDEA: ORGANIZING COD EVENTS AT AALTO & STANFORD

We got this idea yesterday that we should organize a CoD playing event at each University.

Goals:

  • Meet CoD players
  • See them in action
  • Create contacts for future observations & interviews
  • Get our minds more into the scene

Organizing:
  • Post a advert to University newsboard/newsmail/blog
  • Get 6-10 people max - There cannot be 2 many peoples that everybody can play and there is still some kind of order
  • There still has to be certain amount of people that they feel comfortable and that the atmosphere is enough social
  • Serve Pizza & Coke (can be mentioned in the advert)
  • Record the event somehow
Points to pay attention to:
  • Divide clear tasks between the team
  • Have a clear vision of agenda/goals/tasks
  • How to record the event: audio/video without too much material
  • How to make people comfortable while they are really intensively observed

POST YOUR IDEAS & THOUGHTS TO THIS POST'S COMMENTS!

Wanted: all kinds of controlling devices

I think we should try to find all possible kind of controllers!

From airplane cockpit to washing machine to game controllers.

We can find cool ideas if we look a little further. Ideas to basic controller have probably come from other devices.
