CoD controller for handless person called Potta

Today in LGM we had to make CoD controller for a person without hands.
So we made this helmet where we attached a logitech Air mouse and XBox 360 controller.
Aiming was done with moving head and walking was done with tongue. Firing a weapon was done with right foot.

It worked quite nice but player needs somebody to wipe his face because of dribbling.
Aiming was also a bit awkward. If player want's to look 180 degrees back he have to make various fast head movements to make it happen.

Video coming later...

Console History Video 2.0

Here is a very inspirational video.

The Insane Console History Video 2.0 from Elder-Geek on Vimeo.

"Last year, Elder-Geek released the definitive video slideshow of consoles, computers, and dedicated game machines. This year, our video editor, Eliot Hagen, updates his original list with a few more entries. Please forgive the quality of some of the photographs. Also, the systems are ordered by release date by year and then sub-ordered alphabetically or chronologically depending on what information was available.

As for the music...well...prepare for a long walk down memory lane. Kudos to you if you can identify the games the tracks come from.

Thanks to old-computers.com for many of the images, and the thousands of fans who had uploaded photos of these pieces of gaming history.

EDIT: You can see an ordered list of the music in the video here:

Wii "Headmote" Prototype

We tried a kind of crazy prototype with using the Wii motion sensor attached to the head of the user. Head movements control the aiming of the gun and movement/firing is controlled by the handheld nunchuck. The motivation behind this design is that traditional "gun" controllers get tiring in your hand after a while.

It worked surprisingly well!

COMPARISON: CoD on Xbox&TV vs. CoD on PC vs. CoD on TV&PC

Wanted: all kinds of controlling devices

I think we should try to find all possible kind of controllers!

From airplane cockpit to washing machine to game controllers.

We can find cool ideas if we look a little further. Ideas to basic controller have probably come from other devices.

Super Early Prototype w/ video

We made put together this prototype before we knew that we don't have to worry much about browsing and messaging.

It's basically an Ipod Touch attached to a controller. The Ipod Touch has an app called Airmouse which allows it to control the computer functions once the two devices are synced.

(Slightly) better quality video uploaded to Egnyte!

Razor Onza Controller

Very nice high-performance controller with some customizable features:
1) Adjustable tension on analog stickers
2) Two extra "bumper" buttons with customizable function
3) More "clicky" buttons
4) Surface is not-slip rubber
5) Better D-pad

Controllers with keyboard+mouse -like abilities

Some stuff from last week:

USB Wireless keyboard with touchpad (very liked in review!)

Ridiculous Toshiba gaming thing!

Asus Eee Keyboard (built-in computer and iPhone-like touchscreen)

Sony Internet TV Remote (Ugly!)

Prodige NanoX (very very small with tiny touchpad)
